We’ll be knitting for victory…… dust off your knitting needles ladies & get knitting for charity!

We’ve been approach by The Redoubt Fortress and Military Museum in Eastbourne to join ‘Knit for Victory’…… check out their Facebook page for some fantastic photo’s of the ‘A Stitch In Time Save Lives’ event.

All you need to bring is

4.00mm needles

Double Knitting yarn…. any colour!

I’ll bring the patterns.

Bring your own project if you don’t wish to join in.

Normal charge of £3.50 will apply…… 20% off for members

Tea & coffee will be provided.

Yet again we had a fantastic evening & made lots of lovely poppies.

I’m sure we’ve nearly hit our target. Carole from The British Legion was very impressed & I’m waiting to confirm some exciting news….. dust off your 1940’s outfits ladies….. The British Legion & Make, Do and Mend need your help!!!!

Our next meeting on Tuesday 2nd August is all about poppies!

We will be once more making poppies for the poppy appeal.

This is what we achived in April

We’re planning on selling these lovely handmade poppy corsages to help the poppy appeal in November.

Carole from The British Legion will be coming along to say hello.

This is being organised by Jenny & each poppy will have it’s own make, do and mend label.

If you’d like to join in please bring some red/green fabric or yarn & some black buttons, a basic sewing kit, knitting needles or crochet hook. You can either knit, crochet or sew your poppies, Jenny will be showing us how.

Or you can just bring your own project!
